Brain Gym ^® for Children

Parents bring their children to a Brain Gym consultant for many different reasons. They may want to help their child to find school work easier all round. There may be specific problems, such as difficulty with maths, or problems with spelling, handwriting or reading while the child is successful in other areas of schoolwork. They may want to improve their concentration or memory.  The child may be excessively clumsy or uncoordinated. The child may try hard, but often does not achieve his or her goals, and feels very frustrated, leading to behavioural problems. Their child may have had a formal diagnosis of dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalcula, ADD or ADHD, Asperger’s syndrome or Autism.

I have successfully helped many children of a wide range of abilities improve their performance in school, at home and at play and to overcome many of the difficulties which have made their life so frustrating. Sessions are fun and targetted towards each child's specific needs.

Brain Gym and the gifted

Brain Gym is not only used to help people with difficulties, but can be of great benefit to those who are already successful. Gifted children experience their own challenges as they may feel isolated from other children of their own age. Brain Gym can help build self-esteem and confidence. Brain Gym is also successfully used by musicians, dancers, actors and sports people to improve performance and to hone specific skills.
