Dr Buffy McClelland, Ph.D., I.T.E.C., Brain Gym® Consultant 

 

For the past 26 years I have been an academic research scientist, and over the last 17 years I have worked at Oxford University, using the record of Earth's ancient magnetic field trapped in rocks to reveal aspects of geological history. For most of my career, I have taught university students, and was a University Lecturer and Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford for 7 years up to September 2003. During my time at University, I have become more and more aware of how even talented people can have blocks to learning.

I have now moved the focus of my career to sensory integration training as I am so excited about its potential for improving people's lives. When I came across Brain Gym, I was amazed by the effects it had on me and others.  I am a licensed Brain Gym Consultant and Instructor, and I work both with individuals on a consultancy basis, and teach courses on Brain Gym amongst many other sensory integration techniques to teachers, parents and businesses. My aim is to help adults or children who would like to perform more effectively in many areas of life. 

I maintain a link with Oxford University, and am now a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Earth Sciences..

I am a dancer, amateur folk musician, house restorer and gardening enthusiast!
